We’ve been hard at work for the last nine months engaging in policy research and analysis, preparing for what we believe is a historic opportunity to advance God-honoring public policy in the state legislative session that began on Monday.

That’s why we’re proud to announce the results of our first-ever “Idaho Family Policy Poll.”

This scientific public opinion poll was commissioned by Idaho Family Policy Center and was conducted with a large, representative sample of likely Idaho voters. The questions focused on issues of importance to Idaho families: public drag shows, library pornography, school bathrooms, minor sex changes, and the right to life.

Unsurprisingly, the results reveal that overwhelming support for our aggressive and strategic conservative agenda to protect family, faith, and freedom in the Gem State.

Here’s what we found:

1. Creating civil liability for drag show performers and organizers when children are present

Idahoans were outraged when they learned that drag shows being marketed to families with children were taking place at public parks in Boise and Coeur d’Alene.

It’s illegal for children to patronize strip clubs, and we don’t allow them to hang around adult movie stores. So why do we allow sexualized drag exhibitions in places like public parks and community libraries? Let’s make sure that drag shows never take place when children are present.

2. Protecting the privacy and safety of girls in school bathroom, locker rooms, and showers

Have you seen what’s been going on in Caldwell over the last several months? Parents have been turning up at local school board meetings by the hundreds, outraged over proposed policy changes that would allow biological males to shower next to girls after gym class.

Girls deserve privacy and safety in vulnerable places like school bathrooms and locker rooms. The state legislature needs to stand up and pass legislation to protect our daughters and granddaughters.

3. Ending the proliferation of pornography in public school and community libraries

Parents should reasonably expect that their children will not encounter harmful sexual material at public schools or while making use of taxpayer-funded community library services.

It’s time to eliminate an existing statutory exemption that gives libraries and schools a free pass on distributing material harmful to minors.

4. Banning sex reassignment surgeries, cross-sex hormones, and puberty blockers for minor children

In the last decade, there has been a 1,000 percent increase in the prevalence of children identifying as transgender.

We need to protect these children, who are often immediately sent down a path of irreversible medical interventions, including dangerous hormone therapies and mutilating sex reassignment surgeries.

5. Protecting the right to life by extending personhood to preborn children and holding sanctuary cities accountable

All preborn children deserve equal protection of the laws. For that reason, Idaho should hold accountable rogue cities, like Boise, that have declared themselves sanctuary cities for abortion.

Here’s the bottom line: These polling results represent a mandate for the state legislature to fight back against radical gender ideology, wokeism, the sexualization of our children, and pro-abortion attacks on the right to life.

After all, the battle for the future of Idaho is heating up—and we’re committed to victory!
