Idaho is now the fourteenth state to have passed a law protecting preborn life from the time a fetal heartbeat can be detected!
Two years of hard work. Two years of lots of sweat and tears. Two years of false starts and setbacks. It was certainly a spiritual battle. But God has been good and faithful. It was all in his good timing.
I was privileged to be present at the bill signing ceremony yesterday (see our press release below this message) with the legislative sponsors, Sen. Patti Anne Lodge (R-Caldwell) and Rep. Steven Harris (R-Meridian), who worked hard to get this legislation across the finish line.
We were also joined by Christian Welp from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise, whose assistance with this legislation was indispensable, and Linda Thomas from Stanton Healthcare, an Idaho-based pro-life pregnancy resource center whose medical team helped provide our legislators with accurate medical information about developing babies.
We’re thankful that Gov. Brad Little signed this law, which represents a huge step toward the ultimate goal of protecting all preborn life by ending abortion in our state.
You were an indispensable part of this huge victory for life. You prayed. You contacted your legislators. You joined us for the Heartbeat Bill Prayer Rally. You shared information about this legislation through email and on social media. You provided the financial support that made all of this possible.
Last night I thanked God for his good providence. And I did not forget to thank him for your partnership.
Let’s keep fighting for life.
Soli Deo gloria,
Blaine Conzatti
