IFPC Legal Center secures another victory!

IFPC Legal Center secures another victory!

Like most American workers, Adam Hahn, a manufacturing supervisor in North Idaho, never thought that he’d be forced to choose between living out his convictions or keeping his job.

But earlier this year, Adam was fired after refusing to refer to a male colleague by female pronouns at work.

That’s why the IFPC Legal Center filed religious discrimination charges with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Idaho Human Rights Commission on his behalf.

And now, we’re excited to share that we’ve secured justice for Adam—including a monetary settlement of a confidential amount!

After all, Adam wasn’t trying to make a scene—he just asked to refer to his colleague by last name and informed his other employees of their rights to request religious accommodations. That was enough to get him written up for “sharing his religious beliefs” and eventually fired for being a “distraction.”

That’s clear religious discrimination—and it’s prohibited under both federal and state law.

This settlement sends a strong message to businesses: You can’t force gender ideology down the throats of Christians in violation of their sincerely held religious beliefs.

WATCH: Adam Hahn shares how his faith in Christ empowered him to stand with conviction

Adam is my hero. He stood for his country by serving twenty-two years and five combat tours in the Middle East to protect our freedoms. And he also stood for his faith in the workplace—even at great personal cost.

I want to leave you with this quote from Adam:

My hope is that this settlement reminds corporations that no employee should ever face discrimination because of their faith. Standing up for my Christian values and beliefs was an easy decision for me. Christ gave everything for me, and enduring hardship for Him is the least I can do.

I’m thankful that we were able to reach a settlement of these religious discrimination claims. The IFPC Legal Center has been a blessing from God—supportive, professional, and committed to walking me through every step of the process from beginning to end.

My team at the IFPC Legal Center is honored to stand for the constitutional rights of Christians like Adam who are willing to stand firm with conviction and courage. And we’re not backing down.

P.S: Most people can’t afford to hire a lawyer to vindicate their rights. But thanks to the generous support of people like you, the IFPC Legal Center is able to provide legal services entirely free of charge to people like Adam.
