House Bill 264 – sponsored by Rep. Barbara Ehardt (R-Idaho Falls) – aims to protect the privacy and safety of women in state prisons, domestic violence shelters, and public universities.

• Did you know that Idaho law currently allows the Idaho Department of Correction to house biological males in women’s state prisons?
  
  
• Did you know that Idaho law currently allows men to utilize bathrooms, changing rooms, and overnight sleeping spaces in domestic violence shelters for women and children?
  
  
• Did you know that Idaho law currently allows public universities to place biologically male students in women’s dorms and grant them access to women’s bathrooms and locker rooms?

Allowing biological males to access women’s changing areas, bathrooms, and sleeping spaces compromises women’s privacy and greatly increases their risk of abuse.
