Right now, I’m in Washington, D.C., meeting with members of the Idaho Congressional Delegation to discuss a once-in-a-generation opportunity to stop sending your federal tax dollars to Planned Parenthood.

And I’m not alone. Leaders from dozens of pro-life groups across the country have joined me on Capitol Hill, urging the Republican-controlled Congress to remove funding for abortion providers in the upcoming budget reconciliation process.

Planned Parenthood rakes in $700 million annually – over one-third of its funding – from federal programs like Medicaid.

Why should Planned Parenthood receive nearly $2 million each and every day from our federal government?

Idaho has already taken action to protect our state tax dollars. We defunded Planned Parenthood four years ago when Gov. Little signed the No Public Funds For Abortion Act that was drafted by Idaho Family Policy Center and one of our national partners, Alliance Defending Freedom.

Now it’s time for the federal government to follow Idaho’s lead. We must ensure our hard-earned tax dollars are never used to fill the coffers of abortion providers.
