Open-air preaching has played a significant role in American history—such as when God used preachers like George Whitefield to bring about the First Great Awakening.
But just this summer, an evangelist was fined for daring to preach during “Pride Month” at a public park right here in Nampa, Idaho.
The IFPC Legal Center is now representing Titus Folks, an evangelist who went to the Canyon County Pride Festival. The event was free to attend, open to the public, and held at the Lakeview Park in Nampa.
Titus set up a table at the public park – outside the fenced event – planning to preach the Gospel and engage festival attendees in meaningful discussion with a thought-provoking sign: “What is your identity?”
But before he could even finish setting up, Pride Festival organizers told him to leave—and then they called the police.

Instead of supporting his constitutional right to preach, the police trespassed Titus and fined him before he could share the gospel with a single person.
That’s when things got weird.
After police told him to leave the main park area, Titus and a group of friends moved to the edge of the road where they set up pro-life signs.
Then the Satanists showed up. They came out to mock Titus and his group of evangelists—threatening them, screaming profanities, performing “unbaptisms” in front of them, and even blocking their signs from view. The police did nothing.
The Satanists even mocked Charlie Kirk—characterizing his assassination as “divine retribution” and tauntingly emulating his death. You can watch the video here (viewer discretion advised):
Apparently Satanists get to practice their “religion” in public parks—but not Christians.
Meanwhile, Titus is being prosecuted for “trespassing” in a public park. This is a clear violation of his First Amendment rights—so we’re defending him in court.
We know that what America needs is revival, and that only comes through the preaching of God’s Word. Our Constitution guarantees the freedom to preach the Gospel everywhere, including “Pride Festivals.”
