In our politically divided culture, some churches are scared to address issues that are considered “too political.”
However, many issues labeled as “political” are, in fact, moral issues that pastors and churches have a biblical duty to address—particularly when they affect our faith, family, and freedom.
With this in mind, Idaho Family Policy Center has created a helpful resource that we hope you will share with your church: The Biblical Citizenship Guide to Voting.
This important resource is simply a brief explanation outlining a biblical approach to voting. It’s not a partisan voter guide, and it doesn’t tell anyone who to vote for.
Idaho Family Policy Center offers high-quality, bi-fold paper copies of our Biblical Citizenship Guide to Voting at no cost to churches across the state.
Here are a few ideas on how this resource can be used by your church:
- Several churches distribute physical copies of the Biblical Citizenship Guide to Voting as an insert in their weekly bulletin during one of the Sundays before election day!
- Other churches have shared digital copies via their congregation email list, placed physical copies alongside other church resources, or provided them for distribution at a table before and after their worship service.
- Some small groups, bible study groups, and community groups have been given permission to distribute physical copies at their meetings or events.
Would you talk with your pastoral team and ask whether they would be willing to distribute copies – or allow you to distribute copies – to your church?
Please contact our Church Engagement Director, Kent DelHousaye to let us know how many copies your church would use, and we will get them to you.
Thank you for your faithful partnership!
