Newly released poll results show overwhelming support for our 2025 legislative agenda
Our policy team been hard at work for the last nine months—preparing for what we believe is a historic opportunity to advance God-honoring public policy in the state legislative session that began last Monday.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the results of our third annual Idaho Family Policy Poll.
This scientific public opinion poll was commissioned by Idaho Family Policy Center and conducted with a large, representative sample of likely Idaho voters. The questions focused on issues of importance to Idaho families.
Unsurprisingly, the results reveal that Idahoans support our bold conservative agenda to protect family, faith, and freedom in the Gem State.
1. Ban Drag Shows in Public Places Where Children Are Present
It’s illegal for children to patronize strip clubs, and we don’t allow them to hang around adult movie stores. So why do we allow sexualized drag exhibitions in places like public parks and community libraries?
This legislation would create civil liability for organizers and performers who participate in sexual exhibitions when children are in the audience. It’s time to make sure children are protected by taking care of this issue once and for all.

2. Read the Bible in Public Schools Without Instruction or Comment
For nearly a century, Idaho children heard the Bible read by their teachers at the start of every school day. This was done without instruction or comment from teachers—and any questions were referred to the student’s parents.
But in 1964, school-sponsored Bible reading and prayer were removed from Idaho public schools. Since then, we’ve all witnessed the devastating impact of removing God from the classroom.
Our children and communities are starved for the biblical principles that once made our society the greatest in the world. That is why it’s critical – now more than ever – that the Idaho Legislature takes this historic opportunity to bring the Bible back into the classroom.

3. Establish Sabbath Overtime Pay for Hourly Workers
Our Lord set aside the Sabbath as a day of rest—and nearly every state in our nation once recognized this truth by enforcing “blue laws” that prohibited unnecessary commerce and labor on Sundays.
As these laws have been repealed, many report feeling pressure to work on Sunday—resulting in a decline in church attendance, and Americans growing more tired, overworked, and disconnected from their communities.
By requiring employers to pay overtime for work performed on Sunday, our state legislature can help encourage rest, worship, and time with family and community.

4. Support Pro-Life Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRCs)
Pregnancy resource centers specialize in providing free ultrasounds, baby supplies, medical care, and counseling, all with the goal of building strong families and strong communities.
Additionally, many of the women and families they serve are facing unplanned or crisis pregnancies—and without the services provided by pregnancy resource centers, these women and their children would be added to the rolls of state social assistance programs.
It is only fair that we expand the state special charitable tax credit to drive even more private donations to Idaho pregnancy resource
