Will Your Church Host Voter Registration Sunday?

We are excited to announce our newest church engagement program: Voter Registration Sunday, which will take place on October 6, 2024.

I’m sure you agree that Christians have a civic responsibility to register, show up to the polls, and vote our biblical values.

So it might surprise you to know that at least thirty percent of the people in your church aren’t even registered—and many of those who are registered don’t even show up to the polls!

In light of these startling statistics, we’re hopeful that your church would prayerfully consider participating in Voter Registration Sunday.

To make it as easy as possible, we’re making available a Voter Registration Sunday packet with all the tools and resources your church will need to:

  • Host a voter registration table in the lobby (we’ll provide all the instructions, forms, and materials!)

  • Announce the voter registration drive during your church service (and include biblical voting materials in your church bulletin and/or app)

  • Encourage members of your congregation who are already registered to vote to sign the PRAY-VOTE-STAND pledge card (when they sign the pledge, they’ll receive updates on their voting place prior to the election!)

We’ve also included a sample sermon on voting that your pastor can use, as well as other resources to help make Voter Registration Sunday a success!

Will you approach your church leadership about hosting a voter registration table on Sunday, October 6? Your church has the flexibility to choose which combination of Voter Registration Sunday programs and resources they want to utilize—all we ask is that they get involved some how, some way!

One last request: If your church is willing to participate or if they have any questions, would you please respond to this email or contact me so we can pray for you and support you in this important endeavor?
