Let’s Keep Men out of Women’s Public Restrooms!

We’re one month into legislative session—and Idaho Family Policy Center keeps delivering more victories for Gem State families.

Here’s the latest update: Our legislation to protect the privacy and safety of every person in public restrooms passed the House State Affairs committee yesterday!

The legislation (House Bill 607) was drafted by Idaho Family Policy Center and is sponsored by Rep. Ted Hill (R-Eagle) and Sen. Josh Keyser (R-Meridian). It would require separate public restrooms and changing facilities on the basis of biological sex.

I was privileged to help Rep. Ted Hill present House Bill 607 to the House State Affairs Committee yesterday. Here’s a video of that presentation:

In recent years, we’ve secured protections for women and girls—first in public school bathrooms and locker rooms, and then in bathrooms and sleeping areas at public colleges and universities, state correctional facilities, and domestic violence shelters.

House Bill 607 would extend these protections to every public restroom—ensuring that every public restroom and changing area is kept safe for all Idahoans. You can read more about our legislation by downloading our one-pager.

It’s time we make sure our wives and daughters are protected in public restrooms. We appreciate your prayers—and we will keep you updated when this legislation is considered by the full Idaho House of Representatives!
